Last week Adalia and I were in Australia. We had a really great time! It was so much fun. We got there late Saturday night. We stayed at the Glen Eden Beach Resort in Peregian Beach. It was really nice, and just a short walk from the beach! We could hear the ocean from the resort.
On Sunday we woke up around 5 when it got light. We took the bus into Noosa, a nearby town. We thought it would be fun to wander around and get lost, and we did those things, and walked and bused around, and I’ll admit it was a little less exciting then we thought. Walking can take awhile. We finally decided to find a map and that helped. We still had a lot of fun though, because we were in Australia! How is that not fun, whatever happens? We got the bus system figured out, and eventually found the farmer’s market.
We got fresh figs, lychees, passionfruit, and camel milk. I’d never tried any of those before so it was a fun new experience!
We also got some crab and vegetables that we (and by we I mean Adalia) cooked up for dinner that night.
There were tons of wild turkeys roaming around, and we also saw a huntsman spider- a small one, but it was pretty big to us. And we saw this huge lizard as well! It climbed up the wall and onto the roof.
And it was so, so hot in Australia. We were sweating like crazy. It was gross. The resort had a pool, though (and a hot tub, which wasn’t too bad) and the ocean was the perfect temperature.
On Monday we went to the Australia Zoo, so soon I’ll be sharing photos from that!
