Recipe: Pancakes

Old-Fashioned Pancakes

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. Mix the milk, egg, and melted butter, then mix the wet and dry ingredients well. Heat a griddle or frying pan on medium heat and pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Brown on both sides, and serve warm with butter and syrup.

Here is a link to the recipe on AllRecipes. I’ve substituted oil in the place of the melted butter before and had them turn out fine. This is the pancake recipe I use most of the time. These are Jubilee’s favorite pancakes!
